Keeping Your Website Alive And Clicking!

How to Blog – Why Blogging Matters for Your Website

A blog is more than just a place to share news or updates. Regularly adding helpful, relevant content to your website can improve your visibility in search engines, demonstrate your expertise, answer questions potential customers are searching for, and give people more reasons to discover and visit your website.

Blogging can help your business:

  • Improve search visibility by giving Google and other search engines more useful content to discover and index.
  • Show your expertise and build trust with potential customers.
  • Answer common customer questions before they ever contact you.
  • Target more search topics and keywords related to your products, services, and industry.
  • Support AI search visibility by creating clear, helpful information that platforms such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and other AI-powered search tools may use to understand your business and expertise.
  • Create content to share on social media, email, and other marketing channels.
  • Keep your website growing with fresh, useful content over time.

The key isn’t simply publishing more content—it’s publishing helpful content that answers real questions your customers are asking. The following guide will walk you through how to create, format, and publish a blog post on your website.

Here is a short video for easy reference!

When you are ready to post a new BLOG –  the first thing you want to do is decide what image you want to use. It is a best practice to post a BLOG with an image. Also – The image name and BLOG title should match. Example: If the blog title is “Knowing when to change your air filters at home” – You would rename your image to [when-to-change-home-air-filters.jpg]. This is a must when it comes to SEO/AEO.

When it comes to your BLOG image you want to make sure the format is the same every time. A safe bet is to create or use an image that is a standard 4×6 orientation. That way your BLOG looks great and all of your BLOGs are displayed consistently on your site.

Now that you have your images ready to go it’s time to get started. The first thing you will do is navigate to your website on a desktop/laptop. My website is jonasmancuso.com.
